Founded in 2004, Beacon Financial Strategies is a fee-only financial planning and investment management company that has an in-house team of tax professionals serving clients of the firm. Over the years, Beacon has positioned itself as a leader in the movement of fiduciary, advice-driven, tax-focused, professional advisory firms.
Beacon clients benefit tremendously from our holistic guidance and personal approach. Peace of mind, comfort and confidence are all words that clients have used to describe how working with Beacon makes them feel. At Beacon, it is our primary motivator to empower our clients with trusted advice so that they can live a fulfilling and meaningful life. We work hard at actively listening, asking thought-provoking questions, and establishing deep and meaningful relationships with our clients.
Beacon is located in the beautiful “heart of the triangle,” Raleigh, NC (Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill). With wonderful schools, access to world-renowned medical care and ample parks and greenways, Raleigh is consistently ranked as one of the best places to live in the country. In addition to Research Triangle Park, which houses hundreds of science and technology companies, there are also three major universities (NC State, North Carolina and Duke) in the area. There is little doubt that the Raleigh/Durham area is poised for sustained long term growth.
About The Role
Beacon is searching for a candidate who has the technical skills, confidence and leadership capability to be, or quickly become, a Lead Advisor. To serve in this role, it is expected that you would have already obtained (or be very close to having) the CFP designation.
Upon starting your journey with Beacon, you will spend the first several months working closely with our team learning the “Beacon Way.” You will be introduced to our systems and internal processes through one-on-one training sessions from your colleagues, as well as company-wide training initiatives.
You will work directly with Senior Advisors to serve existing clients and prospects. In addition, you will participate in client meetings and learn firsthand how we foster relationships and deliver holistic advice to clients. You will be surrounded by a team of professionals who will encourage, support and mentor you during this period of intense learning.
From the onset of your career with Beacon, you will be a valued member of our team with an important and respected voice when it comes to the strategic direction of the company. You will participate in and occasionally be asked to lead our quarterly strategic visioning meeting. You will have an understanding of the “inner workings” of an advisory firm which will include firm financials, key performance indicators and other financial metrics used to help firm leadership make strategic decisions.
Once you have established a solid foundation, you will be encouraged and challenged to assume additional responsibilities. This could mean assisting in various internal committees, implementing, or improving marketing initiatives, or simply embarking on projects that bring you joy and energy while also contributing to the success of the company.
We want you to live an inspired life through a career that is exciting and personally satisfying.
