Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this individual will carry out the company vision and directives. Using assertive and clear communications, our Controller will set accounting policy, procedures, and processes throughout the entire organization.
The job responsibilities of our Controller include, but are not limited to:
- Leadership, Management, Accountability: Leadership of the accounting departments, includes taking ownership of the company’s financial records and financial compliance activities; and driving continuous improvement and cost/expense management throughout the organization.
- Responsible for managing and overseeing accounting staff and activities.
- Accountable for creating metrics associated with departmental and business success (ability to create indicator metrics to ensure overall productivity).
- Responsible for defining, implementing and holding peers accountable to departmental policies and procedures.
- Responsible for financial analysis and communication; cash flow and tax optimization; regulatory compliance; asset management; and financial records.
- Fosters and manages relationships with banks, insurance companies, accounting firms, and outside service providers such as 401K and payroll.
- Hold others accountable for daily, essential communication to all departments.
- Accountable for achieving 1-, 3-, and 10-year goals according to departmental/organizational vision.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, accounting or finance.
- 10+ Years of experience in a corporate accounting environment, including preparing and analyzing corporate financial records, including month-end and annual financials.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Experience preparing financial reports, budgets, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in cash operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation and cash flow management.
Preferred:
- CPA, CFA or CMA Certification.
- Manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience working with sales to develop a forecasts and budgets.
- Experience working for a company with multiple entities.
- Experience working in a family business environment.
- Experience working in an EOS-run organization.
- ERP experience.
Desired:
- Experience in defining, implementing, and training to financial policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated background in cost reductions and continuous improvement.
Qualified candidates must be willing and able to be located in the Lake of the Hills, Illinois area (approximately 50 miles Northwest of Chicago) and work out of our main office. Relocation assistance can be provided.

Salary: $125k -$145k + bonus potential.

Bonus is paid as follows for employees working 34 or more hours per week: $500 after 30 days of employment, $1,000 after 90 days, $1,000 after 180 days; for employees working 28-33 hours per week: $375 after 30 days of employment, $750 after 90 days, $750 after 180 days; for employees working 20-27 hours per week: $250 after 30 days of employment, $500 after 90 days, $500 after 180 days; for employees working less than 20 hours per week: $125 after 30 days of employment, $250 after 90 days, $250 after 180 days.
