What you’ll do:
The Manager, Accounts Receivable, oversees the billing and invoicing processes within PROS. They are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely billing, managing billing staff, and maintaining an efficient billing system. The Manager, Accounts Receivable, collaborates with other departments, such as finance, accounting, and customer success, to resolve billing-related issues and improve overall billing processes.
A Day in the Life of a Manager, Accounts Receivable - About the role:
- Manage the billing team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement billing policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Review and approve invoices before sending them to clients.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Support financial planning by forecasting billing and cash collection on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Collaborate with sales and customer success teams to address billing inquiries and resolve disputes.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual billing reports.
- Analyze billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure timely submission of invoices and adherence to billing deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of billing transactions and adjustments.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
Required Qualifications – About you:
We are looking for candidates who possess the rare combination of the following achievements, skills and behaviors:
- Proven 3-5 years experience as a Manager, Accounts Receivable or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of billing processes, accounting principles, and financial systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
