Position Summary
The Analyst, Compensation will be responsible for supporting the Director, Compensation and Benefits through the administration of Total Rewards programs to ensure they are accurately administered in accordance with plan documents, regulatory requirements, internal processes and policies. Applies basic knowledge of compensation techniques, theories, methods, processes and practices. Highly analytical and collaborates effectively with all levels of the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Will assist with all compensation programs such as annual merit, quarterly STI, LTI Stock, commissions, salary structure development, job evaluation, survey completion and other similar programs.
Manages and monitors operation and configuration of HRIS system (Workday) and equity systems as related to compensation administration, auditing and reporting. Ensures ongoing accuracy, integrity and completeness of compensation data and processes in the systems. Assists with dashboard creation, maintenance and updates.
Researches and analyzes industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices to make informed recommendations regarding the company's compensation programs and policies. Prepares and delivers concise reports to management regarding the effectiveness of compensation programs and recommendations for improvement.
Maintains the job architecture and job description process, updating systems and training managers as needed.
Participates in salary surveys and conducts market analysis spending time comparing internal jobs to the external market to ensure competitiveness and pay equity.
Reviews and assesses efficiency of internal procedures and processes; documents processes; recommends appropriate changes to support automation and continuous improvement.
Delivers training and ongoing guidance, effectively promoting Compensation programs and initiatives to HR, management and employees.
Works collaboratively with HR, IT and Accounting to provide reporting, accrual and audit services.
Education & Certification
Bachelor's Degree required. Major in Business, Finance, Accounting or Human Resources preferred.
Professional certification such as SHRM or CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation preferred.
Work Experience
- 2+ years’ experience with compensation analysis, programs and administration.
Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Strong Microsoft Excel and technology skills with Workday experience strongly preferred.
Ensures confidentiality and accuracy at all times.
Strong quantitative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with ability to research and analyze various types of data.
Strong analytical skills and ability to use and communicate data to make informed decisions.
Strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate compensation information with employees at non-executive levels.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands
Predominantly operates in an office environment.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
Up to 10% travel required.
