PSE's Internal Audit team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Senior Internal Auditor position!
The Senior Internal Auditor will be joining a dynamic internal audit team and will have an opportunity to work across many areas of the company and its operations. The Senior Internal Auditor will lead the planning, scoping, execution, and reporting of assurance audits/consulting reviews of various departments or key processes within PSE. The Senior Internal Auditor will perform these engagements with a great deal of autonomy and work within the department’s engagement framework, which includes newly implemented agile methodologies and Audit Board work paper documentation tool.
The successful candidate will be someone looking to grow and develop their career and will assist PSE in implementing best business practices while encouraging innovation and dedication to customer service and safety. The auditor will be open-minded and be willing to build insightful relationships throughout PSE.
This position reports directly to the Internal Audit Manager and works closely with PSE’s Director of Internal Audit.
Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead planning, scoping, execution, and reporting phases of assurance audits and consulting reviews
- Track progress and validate completion of management action plans that are a result of assurance audits
- Complete annual flex plan within policies and procedures prescribed by management and in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA standards)
- Participate in annual audit planning and risk assessment processes
- Assist in preparation of reports and dashboards to Audit Committee and senior management
- Provide training and guidance to less experienced auditors
- Communicate effectively and display dedication to safety and customer service
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or field related to the type of audits performed.
- 3-5 years prior substantial audit experience, or specialized subject matter expertise.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, PC skills, team building skills, and the ability to work independently.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor is desired.
- Significant knowledge of company accounting systems, operations, policies, and procedures.

The pay range for this position is $88,000.00 - $146,500.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals-based incentive bonuses.
