Overview: The Business Analyst with SCADA experience will play an essential role in identifying and implementing process and operational improvements, particularly within systems that involve Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). This position requires a deep understanding of SCADA systems, as well as the ability to work closely with project managers, stakeholders, system architects, developers, and SCADA engineers. The Business Analyst will gather, document, and analyze business requirements, develop technical solutions to business problems, and ensure that all business processes align with project and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate business requirements and process workshops, working closely with project leadership to define and document system needs.
- Maintain and update requirements and functional specification documents to reflect current and future business needs.
- Manage and update the Data Ownership spreadsheet to ensure accurate tracking of data responsibilities.
- Document both current state and future state business process workflows, ensuring clarity and alignment with project objectives.
- Create and maintain Issue/Bug Tracking and Enhancements Tracking lists, providing regular updates and status reports to the project manager.
- Test business processes, identify potential improvements, and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Define system testing scenarios based on functional specifications, create test scripts, and execute them to ensure system functionality.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) activities, working with stakeholders to validate that the system meets their needs.
- Collaborate with vendors and development teams to resolve system issues promptly.
- Train client stakeholders on process changes, coordinating system training sessions with vendors as needed.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent management and organizational skills, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable to changing business needs and environments.
- A minimum of three years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Analysis, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in the energy sector is preferred but not required.
