Under minimal supervision, responsible for managing financial operations for larger, more complex units requiring broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures peculiar to accounting, budgeting and financial analysis/forecasting. Develops and administers budgets and financial systems, projects revenue and monitors adherence to financial policies and procedures for assigned unit. Makes decisions regarding the reporting and use of financial resources. Provides financial guidance to assigned staff and appropriate University and HSF personnel and coordinates integration with The University and HSF accounting systems.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business related field with a relevant concentration in Accounting and seven years professional level experience in Accounting or Financial Management. A master’s in Business, Accounting or related field is preferred and may substitute for up to two years of the experience requirement. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Financial Manager (CFM) may substitute for three years of experience requirement. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) will substitute for the experience requirement. Requires knowledge of standard PC applications such as Microsoft Office. May require knowledge of departmental specific software.
Preferred: Master’s in Business, Accounting, or related field.
