The Fund Accountant is responsible for preparing and managing the financial records of investment funds. This includes calculating performance, preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling portfolio transactions, and preparing regulatory reports to ensure compliance with laws and regulations. This position is also responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, keeping track of fund investments, and ensuring timely completion of accounting transactions.
This position will report to the Controller and will be in the office in Greenwich 5 days a week.

Job Description:
- Daily cash tracking and forecasting across all entities (master and feeder funds)
- Assist in NAV closings and shadow accounting
- Assist in regulatory and tax filings and estimates
- Assist in preparation of client reporting and marketing materials
- Assist in trade capture and trade closings
- Manage the accounts payable process
- Expense allocation and bookings
- Preparation of wire instructions
- Reconciliation of various general ledger accounts
- Calculation of expense accruals and prepaid expense amortization
- Clearance of cash reconciliation and position reconciliation open items
- Process capital calls and distributions
- Oversight, reconciliation to and review of fund administrator
- Assist with year end audit and tax preparation
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of public accounting experience in the financial services industry
- Knowledge of PE and HF accounting
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to support all members of the back office
- A tireless attitude towards improving process
- Quick learner and self-starter
- Strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn new systems
