The Enforcement Division is looking for a Staff Services Manager I Specialist to oversee the new Supplemental Environmental Projects (SEP) Oversight Section. Under the general direction of the Enforcement Division (ED) Chief, the Staff Services Manager I (Specialist) (SSM I Spec) is responsible for performing as a highly skilled, independent nonsupervisory staff specialist and provides specialized consultation in the adoption, funding, tracking and close-out of SEPs. The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating existing SEP processes for program improvement, working closely with division staff, management, and the Enforcement Settlement Coordinator. The SSM I Specialist will also ensure that SEP funding is spent appropriately and ethically, and that projects are fulfilled per the contractual language within the oversight agreement.
Working Conditions:
- Requires being in a stationary position, consistent with office work, for extended periods.
- Standard office environment (for example, artificial lighting, controlled temperature, etc.).
- Daily use of a personal computer, office equipment, and/or telephone.
- This position will be required to travel up to 15% throughout the state of California.
