Internal Audit Manager – 8168
Our global pharma client is seeking an experienced Internal Audit Manager to join their leadership team in Hudson County, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing internal audit functions and projects within the organization, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations while identifying opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive audit plans based on a thorough understanding of the organization's operations, risks, and objectives.
- Lead and execute internal audits across various departments and functions, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and prioritize audit activities accordingly.
- Identify and assess key risks and control weaknesses; develop strategies and initiatives and provide recommendations for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Lead a team of internal auditors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning within the internal audit function.
- Stay current on regulatory developments, industry trends, and best practices in internal auditing.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Periodic travel as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Advanced degree and professional certifications (CIA, CPA, CMA) highly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in internal auditing or accounting.
- Pharma or Healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience in managerial or leadership role.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
