Title: Audit Managers - Houston, TX
Position: Audit Managers (multiple openings)
Entity/Department: Maverick Tube Corporation
Location: Houston, TX. May work from home on a hybrid schedule within a commutable distance of the worksite.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform audit risk assessment, planning and audit scope development, as well as project execution.
- Evaluate internal controls identifying risks and opportunities for improvement on the cycles audited.
- Obtain, analyze and appraise evidential data as a basis for creating an objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the processes being reviewed.
- Conduct and document the audit work according to professional standards.
- Communicate identified deficiencies, root cause and recommendations for remediation with Audit Management and the business.
- Assist in internal investigations for reports received through the company hotline (Compliance line).
- Prepare clear and effective audit reports to communicate results to senior management.
- Develop an understanding of the business, processes, risks, and opportunities through research and interviews.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Accounting, or a closely related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in a related auditing occupation, such as internal control functions performing each of the following: process analysis to detect gaps or internal control issues; data analysis to identify trends, outliers, or red flags over selected operational process; recommendations of improvements or remediation actions over analyzed processes; and conducting internal processes assessments and interviewing employees to gain understanding of each process under analysis.
Special Requirement: Up to 25% domestic and international travel required.
