Accounts Payable Clerk
Job Description
We are a growing, fast-paced property management office located in Farmington Hills, MI seeking an AP/AR clerk.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dependable, self-motivated and highly organized. The applicant should have experience performing day to day financial transactions, be organized and accurate, use of Microsoft Office with the ability to perform complex tasks in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
Responsibilities
- Performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
- Managing bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Matching, batching, coding, and entering invoices
- Researching and resolving accounts payable or accounts receivable issues with customers or vendors
- Maintaining cash applications, account reconciliations, chargebacks
- Investigating and resolving accounts payable or accounts receivable
- Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department
Requirements and skills - Proven accounting experience (>3yrs) as an Accounts Payable Clerk:
- Preferably in commercial real estate, property management, 3rd party administration environments
- Client-facing and high-volume experience - critical
- Multiple entity experience - critical
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Aptitude for numbers
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Education & Experience:An Associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus.
Office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM.Job Type: Full-time
