Overview:
We have tremendous opportunities for Senior Accountants to play a key role on our Assurance team. We have openings for candidates residing in and around Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse or Albany, New York. As a highly valued member of our Firm, you will work closely with the assurance team to provide timely, accurate, and reliable completion of client engagements.
Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to:
- Become familiar with The Bonadio Group's policies and procedures
- Develop positive working relationships with clients as well as with internal co-workers
- Develop understanding of client's business and aspects of client's industry
- Prepare clear and concise working papers and financial statements
- Generate reports which identify and address areas of significant risk and evaluate overall effectiveness of operations
- Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that positively influence organization's operation
- Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends
- Manage, develop, train, and mentor colleagues
- Recognize the opportunity of providing new and innovative services and demonstrates the ability to pursue such opportunities
- Retain and develop new clients, including cultivate opportunities to cross-sell the firm's full range of client services
- Maintain and promote ethics and firm values in conducting internal and external business compliance services, and transaction advisory services
- Continual learning of rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA and pronouncements of the FASB and AICPA
Qualifications:Required:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Accounting with 150 credit hours that qualify towards pursuit of CPA
- A minimum of three years of relevant assurance experience
- Progress towards completion of CPA
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Outlook
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed
- Proven ability to provide mentoring and leadership to team members
Preferred:
- CPA Certification
- Experience with ProSystems Engagement software
- Involvement in professional and community organizations
The salary range for this opportunity is between $65,000-$85,000 commensurate with experience.
Hours of Operation:- Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday
- We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
