Seneca Foods is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for development and support of enterprise applications. This is an on-site position only.
Position Summary:
- Play a leadership role as a senior IT professional and take initiative to work collaboratively with IT managers and peers.
- Establish positive working relationships across the organization.
- Responsible for software development activities including authoring of business requirements, solution and technical specifications; development of custom software, authoring of developer test plans, execution of developer testing and documentation for migration of software into a production environment.
- Provide technical input and recommendations on specific software solutions.
- Support business units by researching issues and questions to determine root cause, identify course of action and bring issue/question to resolution.
- Adhere to the documented SDLC process, creating and filing appropriate documentation as prescribed by the process. Utilize the standardized support tools established for IT.
- Manage your time and daily activities to satisfy work assignments, performance and deliverables. Communicate status of work assignments.
Wage range: based on skills, abilities, and experience from $105k - $125k annual salary.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming language.
- Knowledge of SAP integration technologies such as IDoc, RFC, and BAPI.
- Familiarity with SAP enhancement techniques such as user exits and BADIs.
- Understanding of SAP data dictionary and database concepts.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SAP programs.
- Experience with SAP forms – SAP script, Smart Forms and Adobe Forms.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to write clear and concise technical documentation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to build positive working relationships across the organization, service oriented.
- Five plus years of related experience in SAP ECC 6.0.
