How you make a difference
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing assistance to the accounting/finance department with monthly financial close, monthly financial reporting, annual budgeting, and other related duties. Additionally, you will be required to supervise and direct staff accountant(s) as needed, ensuring all tasks are performed accurately and in a timely manner. Your attention to detail and expertise in accounting and finance will be essential in helping the company maintain accurate financial records and achieve its financial goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with managing and completing monthly and year-end closings, including preparing and/or reviewing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Directing various projects, such as inventory counts, internal control formulation and implementation, and process improvements.
- Preparing financial reports and performing various financial analyses for management and clients, as well as presenting financial information during site visits.
- Supervising and reviewing the work of staff accountant(s), ensuring all financial reports and journal entries are accurate and completed on time.
- Assisting management with annual budget preparation and visiting sites for other meetings as needed, such as financial training for field personnel and new site implementations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor degree in Accounting.
Experience
- 3 years relevant General Accounting experience.
- Strong Excel experience and attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) preferred.
