Steele Auto Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team in HRM!
As an Accounting Manager, you are responsible for working closely with the Head Office Finance team, the General Manager of the dealership and directly with the dealership in the day-to-day functions of the finances.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain accounting ledgers by reviewing and posting transactions
- Clear understanding of all accounting functions including AP, AR, deal postings, payroll
- Preparation of monthly reporting including financial statements, balance sheets, capital assets
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Annual Preparation of budgets
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures and processes are being followed
- Train, develop and manage the accounting team in all accounting functions
- Work closely with Department Managers
- Provide reporting to Corporate Head Office
Requirements:
- Post secondary education in business/commerce/accounting or a related field
- 5+ years experience in an accounting role, preferably in an automotive dealership setting
- Technically inclined, with advanced knowledge of MS Office and Excel
- Experience with HRIS is considered an asset but not required
- Experience managing/supervising a team
Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.
