The Financial Services of Everest Global Services, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Sr. Accountant Analyst to join our Warren, New Jersey office.
Responsibilities:
- Review and reconcile agency and direct bill accounts receivable. Clear receivables by identifying and resolving outstanding balances with follow-up and coordination with other departments.
- Preparation of documents to demonstrate compliance with SOX key controls.
- Quarterly Non-Admitted Asset report completion and review.
- Prepare journal entries using the PeopleSoft Ledger system.
- Review non-payment cancellation and reinstatement processes.
- Review current processes and systems. Recommend upgrades or alternative solutions for improvement in efficiency to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Provide excellent service to all internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree majoring in accounting, finance or business is required.
- Supervisory experience a plus.
- 3 - 5 years of accounting experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced Excel Skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Proficiency in creating, maintaining, and improving Microsoft Excel worksheets to efficiently handle large amounts of data.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and technical skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time and be able to multitask in an ever-changing environment.
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with co-workers, management, and internal/external customers.
