We are looking for a skilled consumer insights analyst who has experience with market research & analytics in product organizations. They need to be adept at translating quantitative data from a variety of sources into actionable insights that inform the brand, influence product creation, and create business growth. This person needs to excel at data analysis and synthesis while being a strong collaborator across functions. The right fit will thrive as an individual contributor in a fast paced, highly complex organization.
What You Will Work On
You will support the Consumer Research and Merchandising Analytics teams by managing multiple analyses against product insights tools (most commonly with product conjoint simulators). You will pull and interpret data related to opportunity sizing, competitive analysis, product and line briefing plans, etc. You may also partner with our internal product and merchandising teams (at the global and local levels) and external research agencies to synthesize product and merchandising data (i.e., market share, sell in/sell through, product grading, etc.). Across all data sources, you will identify key themes and use those insights to create a compelling, robust understanding of consumers’ product needs.
Who You Will Work With
You will partner with the gender sport leads for the Women’s & Men’s Consumer Insights Teams at our client’s WHQ Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. You will report to the Director, Quantitative Research and will support product and merch-specific projects. You will also intersect with multiple groups across the Consumer Insights and our client Direct Analytics & Research functions, including Product, Member and Merchandising Analytics, Data Science, Consumer Research, and Insights Product Management, as well as external agencies and business stakeholders in Product Merchandising, Design, Strategy and Marketing.
What You Bring
- Degree in research, marketing, statistics, or analytics preferred
- 3-5+ years of experience in consumer research or analytics, preferably experience specifically in the product development or merchandising space
- A history of skill and innovation in synthesizing complex findings, data visualization and storytelling, and client presentation and partnerships
- Ability to manage a portfolio of research projects with multiple business partners in a dynamic and evolving organization
- Experience with conjoint design and analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and/or R/Python skills
- Familiarity with retail industry preferred
- High attention to detail; excellent written & verbal communication
