About the Role
As a Finance Manager at CBRE Group, you will play a key role in our financial strategy and operations. You will lead a team responsible for relevant tasks such as annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, and management reporting. What You’ll Do
- Provide formal supervision to employees and supervise their training and development.
- Facilitate performance evaluations and provide mentorship to nurture team members' growth.
- Coordinate the recruiting and hiring process to build an adventurous and proficient team.
- Coordinate and run daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines, mentoring and coaching as needed.
- Coordinate the budgeting, forecasting, and standard management reporting processes.
- Review balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows, supporting schedules, and standardized consolidated reporting for accuracy.
- Review and approve basic monthly journal entries.
- Produce a variety of routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages, and proforma analyses for senior management and planning units.
- Coordinate research, development, and preparation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Exchange and explain involved information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues with finesse.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Influence parties with shared interests to reach agreements and successfully implement strategies.
- Apply deep knowledge of your field and integrate it with other subject areas to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately sophisticated issues in existing systems and processes.
What You’ll Need
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred, along with 3-5 years of proven experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and exciting performance, as well as retention strategies.
- Ability to guide the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, deliver performance objectives, and handle challenges optimally.
- Leadership skills to empower the team and positively impact the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the department.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a curious approach.
- Intermediate math skills with the ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
