About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our finance team. This individual will play a critical role in driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis to support strategic decision-making and ensure the financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Actively participate in the annual budgeting process, working closely with the Executive team, production, procurement, sales, and marketing teams to develop accurate plans.
- Prepare and update rolling financial forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and recommending actions to meet financial objectives.
Reporting:
- Prepare Consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) for all sites and entities.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to show gross margin calculation, income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Develop dashboards and other reporting tools to visualize financial performance and highlight critical areas for management attention.
- Support the CFO with the preparation of board presentations and investor updates.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial planning, reporting, and analysis, with a focus on enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or CIMA is a plus but not required.
- 5-7 years of experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Exposure to QuickBooks Enterprise is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of the factors driving profitability in the metal powders industry.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements of the Role:
- The position is based in an office environment, with the flexibility to work remotely 1-2 days per week. The office is adjacent to the manufacturing facility (loud noises, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to metal powders).
- Strict adherence to safety protocols is required while in the manufacturing facility to minimize associated risks. This includes wearing steel-toe shoes, protective eyewear, and earplugs.
Travel:
Some domestic travel may be required to other work locations.
