Position Summary
The mission of the Business Resiliency Analyst, Arch Insurance Group (AIGI), is to establish, support, maintain, and communicate an active company-wide resiliency program internally and externally that:
- Evaluates the impact of events that may adversely affect the safety of our employees, services to customers, and the value of the company’s assets.
- Ensures that AIGI can recover its business functions through management of people, processes, and technology to meet the company’s responsibilities to all stakeholders.
- Complies with legal and regulatory requirements in all locations where we conduct business.
The candidate will demonstrate the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments with varying priorities and adjust work accordingly to meet deadlines. This position functions as a liaison between the Global Business Resiliency Program Management Office and AIGI IT Security Team to ensure consistency and coordination. The focus of this position will be developing, maintaining and testing Business Resiliency Programs/Processes to support the functions/locations following the Global Business Resiliency Office Policies and Standards, ensuring both are compliant and operationally effective programs are developed and in place for the recovery of the business. The candidate will be expected to monitor their work e-mail during non-business hours and may occasionally be required to work on weekends.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop complex business resiliency models and plans.
- Promote educational awareness enterprise wide; initiate process improvements and standards.
- Ensure contingency sites and business units are in a constant state of readiness to recover applications and resume business in accordance with the service level agreements.
- Assist with the development of business resiliency exercises, and provide post exercise review, analysis and debrief.
- Support all activities necessary to enable the business to operate during a business disruption.
- Interact with internal auditors and third-party vendors; participate in vendor governance initiatives as required.
- Provide training and guidance to Business Resiliency Coordinators (BRC)/BCP Recovery Team Leaders.
- Provide timely and accurate reporting and insight into risks, issues and developments.
- Assist with data collection for metric reporting to senior management and/or ACGL related to program status and risk issues.
- Ensure Business Impact Analysis’ (BIA’s) are accurate and updated, as needed.
- Work closely with Principal DR Analyst.
- Coordinate.
Required Skills/Experience
- Demonstrated technical expertise in BC/DR service delivery processes, documentation management, including Business Impact Analysis, Incident Management and Enterprise Business Resiliency Management.
Qualifications
- Broad expertise in business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Familiarity with Industry Standard Planning Tools.
- Excellent project leadership and organizational skills. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Extensive business process knowledge and the ability to perform a comprehensive Business Impact Analysis.
- Strong project management skills with effectiveness in developing tasks and moving projects/assignments forward.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with internal and external contacts ranging from senior executive management to technical individual contributors.
- Effective strategic planning and decision-making abilities.
- Willingness to work the occasional non-standard hours and travel to other office locations as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Education
- Required knowledge and skills would typically be acquired through a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of certifications and experience. Certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional or Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute or BCI.
For individuals assigned or hired to work in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Jersey City, NJ; New York State; and/or Washington State, the base salary range is listed below. This range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$90,000 - $110,000/year
Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above range may be modified in the future.
