Armanino LLP’s Valuation & Financial Modeling ("VFM") Practice assists start-ups, private and public companies, estates, attorneys, as well as venture capital and private equity firms with business, intangible, and tangible asset valuation, and custom financial modeling services. Job Responsibilities
- Manage, review, and deliver complex security valuation component of business valuation projects for 409A, financial reporting (ASC 805), audit review support (SAS 73), and management planning purposes.
- Manage, mentor, and develop a team of analysts to support the Armanino complex security practice.
- Review, and from time to time, populate and run financial models, including PWERM, Bi-nominal lattice, Monte Carlo simulation, and Black Scholes models.
- Independently review and assess derivative, option, warrant, and other agreements as provided by clients to determine how best to value each complex security ensuring every factor from the agreement is taken into consideration.
- Manage multiple projects at one time ensuring all projects are completed on budget and on time.
- Regularly attend scoping calls and proficiently scope new projects by providing realistic and achievable budget estimates for various projects.
- Network internally and externally to grow the business.
- Have ownership of, and manage, key initiatives and metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting, finance, statistics, mathematics, engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of valuation experience within a business valuation firm or valuation practice of an accounting or consulting firm.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in supervising the work of others.
- Prior experience dealing with and interacting with external reviews (auditors, IRS, etc.).
- Proficiency in Crystal Ball, R, or Python.
- Prior experience effectively resolving external review issues (auditors, IRS, etc.).
- Strong client communication skills.
- Good report writing skills, financial modeling skills, the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to develop external relationships (networking, referral sources, etc.) and the desire and ability to bring new clients into the business.
- Strong client management, consulting, communication, and leadership skills managing expectations and delivering high quality solutions on-time within scope and budget.
- Detail oriented, flexible, and responsive.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant professional and/or valuation designation(s) including, but not limited to: ASA, CPA, CFA, CEIV, CVFI, ABV, or CVA highly preferred.
