The Role:
An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join Addison in our Head Office, Thornton-Cleveleys, working across all of our businesses: Addison Engineering, Addison Project, Addison Precision, and Addison Academy. Working with minimal supervision, you will be supporting the Finance Director.
About you:
This role would suit an AAT Fully qualified and/or a part qualified or fully qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA Accountant.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Management principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial software packages
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Confident and proactive
- Excellent organisation skills with the ability to manage a variety of tasks and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and communication skills
Job Description:
- Preparation of monthly management information
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and year-end accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and support with year-end audit procedures
- Processing bank reconciliations
- Purchase Ledger functions including processing supplier payments
- Credit Control activities including chasing overdue accounts where required
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes
- Maintain and improve financial systems and procedures
- Any ad-hoc tasks or projects as and when required
