We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in Nashville. This newly created role will primarily involve supporting our UK-based Finance Manager with a variety of financial analyses and reporting tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing profitability, overheads, and costings, as well as generating sales reports. This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, advanced Excel skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
Reports to: Finance Manager (UK based)
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-depth analysis of product and service profitability, identifying trends and variances to provide actionable insights.
- Analyze overheads and cost structures, ensuring accuracy and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Generate and maintain regular sales reports, providing clear and concise summaries for management.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgeted figures, explaining significant deviations.
- Proactively identify financial issues and provide data-driven solutions to improve business performance.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data in reporting systems and Excel spreadsheets.
- Work closely with both local teams in Nashville and the UK-based management team to support financial decision-making.
- Provide financial analysis for special projects on an ad hoc basis, adapting to the dynamic needs of the business.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications, Competencies, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred but not required.
- 5+ years of experience in a finance analyst role, preferably with exposure to international operations.
- Broad exposure to financial operations in FMCG or manufacturing sectors preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modelling.
- Excellent technical capacity and strategic thinking skills and proven ability to drive process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work alongside a global team of professionals.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to present complex concepts and solutions to various groups.
- Proficient with an enterprise ERP system such as Oracle Net Suite or other similar systems, competent with Google suite of products, and internal messaging systems such as Slack.
