Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to lead and manage our accounting team. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, compliance with company policies, and successful management of inter-company transactions. This position would be reporting to the Director of Finance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting team; hold staff accountable for high-quality work.
- A/P & A/R Oversight: Supervise accounts payable/receivable processes and resolve issues.
- G/L & Expense Management: Review G/L expense coding, ensure compliance with budget and policies.
- Inter-Company Transactions: Reconcile intercompany transactions and manage corporate credit card accounts.
- Month-End/Year-End Close: Lead closing processes, including payroll, accruals, fixed assets, and prepayment amortization.
- Reconciliations: Perform and review reconciliations for all balance sheet, sub-ledger, and sales accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial statements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar field preferred
- 4+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in management
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, & Netsuite
- Composition and office skills to include correspondence creation, routine emails, filing, and assistance in the preparation of reports and other materials
- Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills
