Lumos is looking for a full-time Sr. HR Business Partner! Strategic HR Partnership:
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, understanding their needs and challenges.
- Set a regular cadence of meetings with assigned leaders, participate in business unit meetings to provide HR insights and recommendations, consulting through using people tools like performance reviews, team assessments, succession planning, learning opportunities, and development plans for the ongoing development of their teams.
- Help business leaders become future-ready by focusing on the existing workforce in the organization and prepare them for the future.
Employee Relations:
- Provide support to people leaders in all areas of culture and employee relations - including coaching/performance management, policy interpretation and application, performance reviews, and the resolution of employee issues including terminations for cause.
- Promote a positive work environment by fostering open communication and providing conflict resolution.
- Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
Talent Management:
- Support talent acquisition efforts by collaborating with the talent acquisition team and hiring managers on compensation determination and the hiring process as needed.
- Identify talent gaps and develop plans to address them through succession planning and workforce development.
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation processes to ensure a smooth integration of new hires.
HR Policy and Compliance:
- Keep up to date on employment laws and regulations, as well as other legal requirements regarding people management, to help leaders ensure compliance.
- Provide guidance on HR policies and ensure consistent application across the organization.
- Conduct training sessions on HR policies, practices, and programs.
Employee Experience Champion:
- Implement HR interventions on employee wellness, diversity and inclusion, or talent Management.
- Be a Change Agent: actively driving and facilitating organizational change to improve processes, culture, and overall business performance.
- May assist with the communication of employee recognition, wellness, and other programs.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience consulting individual contributors, people leaders, and external entities through a variety of complex people scenarios.
- Proactive, independent, and able to take initiative to keep on-task and on-target.
- Skilled at coaching hiring managers on the full-range of HR consultative services, incorporating SMEs and specialists as needed.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HRIS.
Other Experience & Requirements
- 6+ years' experience providing Business Partner-level support to multiple leaders.
- Demonstrated experience working with a Union and represented populations preferred.
- Capable of maintaining our culture and ensuring Lumos employees continue to thrive.
