Riley Hospital for Children is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our Adolescent Medicine team!
This team treats a variety of common adolescent health concerns—from eating disorders, to reproductive health, to sports injuries—by working with multiple specialty departments at Riley at IU Health, including cardiology, respiratory care, child development, diabetes, endocrinology and pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
The Adolescent Medicine Department at Riley at IU Health is one of the largest of its kind in the nation and one of only nine departments funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau to train medical professionals to care for young adults and teenagers. Physicians in the Adolescent Medicine Department serve as faculty members at the Indiana University School of Medicine and as leaders in many state and national organizations that aim to improve the health and well-being of adolescents.
Job Details:
- Full time, Day Shift
- 100% outpatient
- 70-80% direct patient care
- 20-30% administrative time
- No nights, weekends or call
- Join a team of 10 physicians and 3 APPs
- Patient population includes pre-teens and teens for gynecologic care, gender care, general consultation services, and eating disorders.
- Procedures include IUD (sedated and non-sedated) insertion/removal, Nexplanon placements/removals, IUD/Nexplanon with Nitrous Oxide
Qualifications:
- PNP, FNP, or ACNP certification required
- Must be BC or BE
- Pediatric background as an RN or NP required
- Ideal candidate would have experience in adolescent care and be passionate about the adolescent population
