The Brinks Company is looking for a
Senior Financial Analystwho will be responsible for reporting, forecasting, planning, and financial analysis for senior management. This role is responsible for the concise and accurate consolidation of data from the countries to the corporate level, as well as corporate and country reporting and analysis. In addition, this role contributes to the financial closing on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
The
Senior Financial Analyst is to be located in Coppell, TX or Richmond, VA.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide general support to country teams and other corporate departments for all financial areas including planning, forecasting, reporting, etc.
- Create recurring or ad-hoc reports for the purpose of allowing management to make data driven decisions.
- Provide support for the monthly forecast and annual plan cycle including: preparation of corporate budgets, assistance with corporate and country questions / training, consolidation of reporting, etc.
- Assist with the company’s closing and consolidation process, including preparation of analysis.
- Participate in department projects as needed.
- Provide support for corporate month-end close including: analyzing ledger data, proposing journal entries and researching large variance or unusual transactions.
Qualifications
- Accounting or Finance degree
- 4-5 years of relevant experience
- Solid financial accounting background
Skills & Experience
- Good analytical skills, to be able to predict trends, identify adjustments needed and identify drivers of variances
- Ability to extract key findings from large quantities of data and summarize in an accurate, concise and timely manner
- Good Excel skills and experience with financial systems (such as Hyperion Planning and SmartView) is preferred
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, able to perform multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and fluent in written and spoken English
- Strong organizational and system orientation skills
- Detail oriented and self-motivated
- High level of diplomacy and tact, ensuring confidentiality of information when required
