Role Summary:
As Senior Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of monthly revenue reporting. This includes reconciling the operational dose tracking system with Accounting (NetSuite), reconciling Account Receivable, working in tandem with Accounts Payable for proprietary drugs and ensuring proper reporting and matching of GAAP Revenue to COGS and prepare monthly variance analysis to budget. Trending and forecasting of revenue and identify risks that will impact revenue reporting.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for reconciling invoices generated from the operational dose tracking system with accounting NetSuite in all 40+ pharmacies across US and Canada for completeness and accuracy.
- Responsible for managing mapping of customer and item cards between NetSuite / SharePoint / the operational dose tracking system
- Ensure CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) contract revenue is in accordance with ASC 606.
- Working with Sales teams to track, report and payout sales rebates.
- Contribute to variance and trend analysis by lab by product.
- Interface with other teams to ensure proper reporting of proprietary drugs – matching the operational dose tracking system to NetSuite. i ) Accrue and reconcile monthly reporting. ii) Accrue and reconcile passthrough revenue. iii) Work with third party vendors to resolve billing and credit issues.
- Bridge revenue reporting with the Cash Application team to ensure accuracy in collections and proper cash application.
- Prepare various ad-hoc analyses and reports for Senior and Executive Management.
- Communicate with Lab Managers and Operations Management to identify opportunities for improvement in accuracy of Billing and Revenue Reporting.
Job Requirements │ Skills │ Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Professional accounting designation (CPA)
- 3+ years of experience, either Big 4 accounting or a mix of Big 4 and industry
- Strong technical/operational accounting knowledge base.
- Experience with NetSuite or equivalent system (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is an asset.
- Highly proficient in Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a virtual environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
