Herdt is seeking candidates at the journeyman AND senior levels to support an SAP sustainment phase in the Washington, DC Naval Yard area. This role is a hybrid role with 60% on-site, 40% remote. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
The candidate must be highly motivated and able to collaborate with both government and other contractor personnel to meet the needs of the client.
- Representing the manager at technical meetings when the government person is unavailable, providing detailed notes to the government manager as needed, and making recommendations.
- Careful coordination with multiple personnel, balancing the need to collect the data while maintaining a professional and collaborative demeanor.
- Providing senior financial management support and financial analytics expertise.
- Assisting the client with collecting data from a variety of government and contractor sources, assessing the responses, and developing a coordinated and professional product for use by the client.
- Managing completion of work within the time frame specified by the client.
- Preparing milestone status reports and presentations for the client.
- While the candidate should understand the Navy ERP financial management solution and have prior experience as a financial user of Navy ERP, this position does not require processing transactions or budget execution at the transactional level in SAP (Navy ERP).
Basic Qualifications
- Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in financial management or auditing.
- Have a minimum of ten years of senior financial management experience with the Navy.
- Have a Secret Security Clearance.
- Have DAWIA Level 3 certification in Business Financial Management or equivalent.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of applicable financial policies.
- Have a demonstrated knowledge of DoD PPBE.
- Have experience with multiple appropriations.
- Be able to formulate strategic financial plans and correlate financing requirements into executable budgets. Assess products and procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles, internal controls, and multi-tiered system application standards.
- Secret Clearance or Interim Secret Clearance required.
Requirements And Qualifications
- Must be a US citizen.
- Candidates must possess, or be eligible to receive, US DoD Secret-level Security Clearance.
- Have a master's degree in financial management or auditing.
- Have a minimum of ten years of senior financial management experience with the Navy either as a GS-12, GS-13, or GS-14, or as a contractor equivalent, overseeing multi-billion-dollar Navy financial programs.

Candidates must possess, or be eligible to receive, U.S. DoD Secret-level Security Clearance.
