Job Summary:
The Telecommunications Business Analyst is responsible for conducting in-depth business process analyses and needs assessments related to telecommunications systems. This role aligns information technology telecommunications solutions with organizational business objectives. The Telecommunications Business Analyst will prepare functional and system specifications, document business processes, and develop business requirements following industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct business process analysis and needs assessments to identify telecommunications system requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document business initiatives, goals, and challenges.
- Align telecommunications IT solutions with business strategies, ensuring they meet operational objectives.
- Develop and document business processes, functional requirements, and system specifications for telecommunications-related projects.
- Analyze and assess current telecommunications infrastructure and recommend improvements or solutions.
- Facilitate communication between business units, IT teams, and vendors to ensure telecommunications solutions meet business needs.
- Utilize telecommunications industry best practices to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, including cost-benefit analyses and feasibility studies for telecommunications upgrades or projects.
- Support project planning by providing detailed business requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Ensure that telecommunications projects adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Provide ongoing support and updates for telecommunications systems, addressing business and technical needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in business analysis, with a focus on telecommunications systems and solutions.
- Strong knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, processes, and technologies.
- Ability to translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in business process documentation and requirements gathering.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex business needs and propose viable telecommunications solutions.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in conducting needs assessments and gap analyses for telecommunications systems.
- Familiarity with telecommunications industry standards and best practices.
- Experience with telecommunications project management and vendor coordination.
- Knowledge of telecommunications regulatory requirements and compliance.
