Cleveland Research Company, LLC, an equity research firm and Broker Dealer registered in Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking a qualified Staff Accountant to oversee some of our accounting processes and operations. This person is a key resource for the firm and will assist the Controller with the firm’s accounting activities including Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, preparation of financial statements and monthly financial reports. A successful candidate will possess a high level of initiative, professionalism, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist in Market Research accounting functions
- Assist with processing accounts receivable activity in accounting software, including preparing sales orders, invoices, applying cash receipts, filing bank transaction reports with attached invoices, reconciling A/R accounts to sub-ledger
- Become familiar with clients and payment trends
- Work with clients on their requests for information from us
- Assist with data management between CRM and Accounting Software
- Analyze and follow up on Aged receivables
- Processing journal entries into accounting software, preparation of financial reports related to Market Research activity
- Involved with account analysis, projections, estimates and general operations
- Identifying areas for growth
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant courses of study or previous accounting/bookkeeping experience
- Skilled in spreadsheets, formulas and reports within MS Excel
- Outstanding time management skills
- High ethical standards
- Critical thinking skills, problem solving abilities and a high attention to detail
- Able to multi-task, remain organized and stay focused in a high-paced environment
This is an on-site position. Applicants must be local to Cleveland or be willing to relocate.
