Barclays Services Corp. seeks Business Analyst in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):
- Perform business and data analysis to implement and maintain solutions. Analyze and understand the customer needs and priorities to build better products.
- Perform in-depth impact analysis to provide business stakeholders with insight to monitor data or system changes.
- Participate in the product development and implementation to refine product backlog items and define the acceptance criteria.
- Help ensure timely flow of all aspects of products, including customer feedback, requirements, and issues with business stakeholders and technology colleagues. Drive the product roadmap, business outcomes, and features throughout the lifecycle to ensure products delivered on time and within the defined budget. Collaborate with the API teams through the production onboarding and approve the API access.
- Liaising with Developers and Business Stakeholders to properly document and communicate functional and technical requirements.
- Track business impact of features on a regular basis, and rely on performance (business and technical) data to make informed decisions about possible changes and improvement.
- Engage in Quality Assurance testing prior to delivery of solution to stakeholders for testing.
- Provide support to business stakeholders with queries and concerns during testing and postproduction implementation.
- Interact with developers and business users to communicate the defects and actively participate in replicating the bugs.
- May telecommute.
Purpose of the role
To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities
- Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
- Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
