We are seeking a risk advisor to join our commercial insurance team in one of our Nebraska offices.
You’d become a subject matter expert for our commercial insurance offering, combining advice for our clients with business development with prospects and leads. You'll build relationships with key decision makers at prospective businesses and our existing clients, then develop those relationships into revenue through sales and our approach to holistic risk management.
Our sales approach is centered on holistic risk management. Through ENCORE – the Ellerbrock-Norris Comprehensive Ongoing Risk Evaluation – we sit down with prospective clients and evaluate their business across 10 impact areas, including insurance, employee benefits, safety, business exit planning, financial planning and more. You will own the commercial insurance section of that process.

We Require You to Have
- 3-5 years of experience selling commercial insurance policies
- A deep understanding of commercial insurance, specifically in construction and general industries
- The ability to manage a book of business for retention while remaining focused on business development objectives
- A passion for working with other advisors in group benefits, safety and financial planning to find opportunities to expand our relationships with existing clients and prospects
- A physical presence in one of our Nebraska offices – Omaha, Lincoln, Hastings or Kearney
- The ability to act independently, including creating your personal business development plan to source and develop prospects
- Support day-to-day management of existing accounts, working alongside our client service and carrier relations teams
- The ability to present to and educate employees on their commercial insurance policies

- An ENCORE approach. Through the Ellerbrock-Norris Comprehensive Ongoing Risk Evaluation, you are a risk advisor – not just a salesperson. You’re expected to start the sales process with a holistic risk evaluation and pull in support from other advisors as needed.
- We manage risk holistically, which means helping clients understand every impact area that affects their business. You’ll be pulled in to provide expertise and value to clients or prospects who are not in your book of business, and you’ll bring in other advisors to provide their expertise to your clients.
- Adoption of our sales technology, including our proprietary sales tool, LAUNCH, and Hubspot, our sales CRM.

This Will Set You Apart
- Role-related professional designations
- Proficiency with Hubspot or a similar sales CRM
