Help empower results for our clients by delivering effective solutions to their risk exposures. You will be responsible for providing insurance advice to the internal and/or external Producers related to Personal Lines. Effectively place insurance risk with the company’s represented and complete the subscription process in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and manuals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of client’s risk exposures.
- Negotiate terms and conditions with the Insurance Carriers.
- Quote and place risk exposure with the insurance carrier that best covers clients' needs.
- Proficiently perform functions on the agency management system and assist others as needed.
- Ensure that policies issued include coverages requested and that information included in the policy is accurate and according to the specifications received.
- Act as a resource to others, with the ability to train others.
- Research and analyze data contributing to the development and enhancements of a client’s insurance program, and recommend coverages.
- Process endorsements and renewals.
- Analyze requests, appraisals, and customer needs to identify the best product for the client.
- Manage notices of non-renewal or cancellations from insurers and identify alternatives for risk placement.
- Document and/or maintain the agency’s core system with updated information of the policies and/or specifications received from the internal/external producers.
- Communicate with clients in the renewal process to obtain information about their policy and update changes.
- Provide support to the Insurance Producers with prospective clients by explaining features and merits of policies offered and recommending amount and type of coverages based on analysis of prospect circumstances.
- Provide support to the claims department.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Education
Bachelor's Degree
Experience
Minimum five (5) years of experience in the placement and subscription of personal lines insurances.
Certifications / Licenses:
The following certifications and/or licenses are preferred:
- Property & Casualty License
- Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation
Other Qualifications:
- Strong communication, analytical, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Fully bilingual (Spanish and English) in writing and conversation.
- Experience in handling objections.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and organize work with attention to detail in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Word Processing, Presentations, Spreadsheet, Internet, and other related software.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and works on alternative solutions.
- Knowledge of Insurance products, services, underwriting, and business laws and regulations.
- Must demonstrate leadership, logic, and reasoning skills.
