Job description:
McNally Restaurant Group operates iconic downtown restaurants Balthazar, Minetta Tavern and Morandi. We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our team. This is a great place to grow your career.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Reconcile daily sales to settlements
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger and ensuring all financial transactions within the company are accounted for
- AR and AP reconciliations
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain prepaid expenses and accruals
- Weekly payroll journal entries
- Assist with month-end close process
- Assist the controller as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced Excel experience a must
- Restaurant365 or Compeat experience a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and detailed oriented
- Able to work independently
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Prior Hospitality Experience Strongly Preferred
