Description -
The Manager, Global Claims & Insurance is responsible for the oversight of Global Liability, Auto Liability and Workers’ Compensation claims and coordination of other claims lines including Property, E&O and D&O Claims. This position collaborates closely with Third Party Claims Administrators and external counsel to ensure thorough evaluation, accurate reserving, effective investigations, and strategic resolution of claims, as well as detailed analysis and reporting. Manager also leads claims guidance from department and supports insurance program renewals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of Global Liability, Auto Liability and Workers’ Compensation claims handled by TPAs and coordination of other claims lines including Property, E&O and D&O Claims.
- Lead the oversight and administration of high deductible and self-insured claims programs in various insurance lines and partnering with adjusters and actuaries to support development and reserving analysis for liability, auto, and workers’ compensation claims.
- Collect and analyze claims loss data, oversee claims related projects, and generate reports essential for actuarial reviews and insurance submissions.
- Provide guidance on contractual insurance limits and related terms for a variety of contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support Risk Management initiatives and ensure comprehensive risk assessment.
- Manage special projects related to Global Risk Management as needed.
- Track TPA performance and conduct RFPs for Claims services as needed.
This role is pivotal in driving effective claims management and supporting the department's overall risk management strategy.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Business, Risk Management, Finance or Economics preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a Claims Management, Risk Management or Claims supervisor setting preferred.
- Advanced Claims and/or Risk Management/Insurance certifications preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent understanding of multi state casualty claims (Auto, Workers Compensation and Liability) and global liability claims. Understanding of various laws applicable to liability and workers' compensation claims.
- Strong understanding of various casualty insurance coverages and insurance policies.
- Experience with large deductible and self-insured programs.
- Experience with complex litigation.
- Ability to evaluate complex claims and settlement values and strategies. Understanding of medical and legal issues and terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and good presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.

- Strong project management skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Strong time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and self motivate as well as to collaborate within teams.
The base pay range for this role is $118,050 to $181,800 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
