HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Financial Analyst, Retail FP&A provides financial reporting and analytical support for Carter’s, Inc. This role will partner with cross functional business partners and other FP&A team members to plan, optimize spend, and explain variances within store payroll. Additionally, this role will lead the store sales incentive planning and payment process for all US and Canada retail stores. Candidates must be highly organized, have an innate sense of curiosity, and strong technical skills.
This role reports into the Retail FP&A team & is based in our Atlanta office in our hybrid work environment.
- 40%: Support the planning, forecasting, and administering the field payroll budget and omnichannel plans
- Support the payroll forecasting and omnichannel plans for all ~1,000 Carter’s US & Canada retail stores
- Assist in maintaining a field payroll model in partnership with Retail FP&A and Store Operations
- Running scenario analysis to determine impact of business decisions on store payroll
- Build quarterly forecasts for US and Canada omnichannel sales
- 40%: Support retail finance functions and deliverables, including ad hoc analysis
- Prepare materials for key meetings (weekly Retail LT meetings, Monthly Business Review meetings, Leadership Team meetings, Earnings preparation, Board of Directors meetings, etc.)
- Prepare ad hoc analysis to enable tactical and strategic decision making; provide direction and makes recommendations
- Analyze business trends and key performance indicators
- 20%: Build the monthly store sales incentive plans for all United States and Canada stores
- Analyze traffic and sales trends to forecast sales plans by store for all US and Canada stores
- Review monthly store sales performance relative to incentive targets and calculate payouts for store employees based on monthly results

Must have:
- General business sense, accounting / finance background with experience in accounting and finance principles and application
- Bachelor’s degree
- 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with accounting concepts and ability to analyze financial statements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
