Caterpillar’s Earthmoving Division has an open Accountant position for the Motor Grader product group. In this role, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial record keeping and reporting for the Motor Grader product group as directed by management. Motor Graders are a core machine product line for Caterpillar within the Earthmoving division.
What you will do:
- Review, analyze, and present monthly financial results and identify the key business drivers including the Profit & Loss, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet statements.
- Coordinate the annual business plan process and quarterly forecasts.
- Conduct financial forecasting variance analysis and partner with the central divisional reporting team to drive forecast accuracy.
- Provide insights on the financial results of the business on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Complete monthly & quarterly OPACC reviews to give insights on profitability performance and areas for improvement.
- Motor Grader Loan Account Tracking System Coordinator.
- Support the various business strategies with ad-hoc financial analysis and modeling.
- Implement new tools and analytics to continuously improve the financial analysis and business insights.
- Drive effective and strong coordination with partners across the business.
- Effectively interact with a global and diverse team.
What Skills & Experiences You Will Need:
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Accounting: Knowledge of accounting methods, processes, and tools; ability to maintain and prepare financial statements and reports using accounting methods and processes.
- Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.
- Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material.
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
- Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
- Continuous Improvement Mindset: Constantly observing your environment, assessing the effects of changes, and determining how to adapt to them.
Additional Details:
- This position is located in Peoria, IL.
- This role is a full time, hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office.
- Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify.

- International and Domestic travel up to 5%.
