Title: Senior Revenue Accountant
Position reports to: Director, Accounting

Position Overview:
The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for supporting aspects of accounting, reporting, financial systems and financial operations, helping to ensure all are maintained in compliance with GAAP and governmental rules and regulations with a focus on revenue.
What you will do and achieve:
- Analyze new and renewal contracts to ensure appropriate treatment under ASC 606 and compliance with GAAP
- Assist with contract review process to ensure optimized treatment appropriate treatment under ASC 606 and accuracy of customer contract key data points, including but not limited to contract dates, products, billing frequency and payment terms
- Enter new and renewal contracts into the accounting system to ensure timely invoicing, and accuracy of revenue, deferred revenue and contract statistics while ensuring appropriate treatment under ASC 606 and compliance with GAAP
- Assist with new item creation for new product launches
- Assist in collaboration with other finance team members and cross-functionally with legal, sales and sales admin teams regarding contract reviews, updates and approvals
- Prepare journal entries, analysis and account reconciliations to meet month-end close deadlines
- Reconcile contract data to ensure accuracy of revenue, deferred revenue and contract statistics
- Reconcile source system data to ensure accurate and complete customer invoicing
- Prepare monthly contract renewal analysis
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other process documentation
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Prepare schedules and provide information to support audits
- Ensure compliance with internal controls
- Perform ad hoc projects and analysis
Who you are:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- MBA and/or CPA a plus
Experience
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- Revenue recognition for technology services under ASC 606
- Entering/maintaining contracts in financial accounting systems (Sage Intacct highly desired)
Key Knowledge & Skills
- Advanced excel skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Experience with SalesForce a plus

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to interface with all levels of the organization and third-parties
