What You'll Do- Manage and oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns and compliance with tax laws.
- Lead and coordinate GAAP and FAR audit processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to reduce liabilities and enhance overall financial performance.
- Conduct thorough internal audits and ensure compliance with internal controls, identifying and mitigating potential financial risks.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to manage audit timelines and resolve audit issues.
- Prepare and review audit reports, ensuring findings and recommendations are clearly communicated to senior management.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of tax filings.
- Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations that impact the AEC industry and government contracting.
- Provide guidance and training to internal teams on GAAP and FAR compliance.
- Lead initiatives to improve tax efficiency and reduce audit findings through continuous process improvement.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in tax and audit management, preferably in the AEC industry or with government contractors.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and FAR regulations and experience managing audits in these areas.
- Experience with tax compliance and audit processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in accounting and tax software.
