Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting analytical work efforts for various projects within a Line of Business or business discipline. Key responsibilities include leveraging databases to acquire client and performance data, transforming extracted data into meaningful insights and trends, and delivering those insights to leaders to make complex business decisions. Job expectations include working with business partners to understand, coordinate, and deliver agreed upon priorities while communicating complex data outputs and delivering the appropriate summary and data required.
Responsibilities:
- Supports the extraction of data using a variety of programming languages, such as SQL, SAS, Python, or Spark/Scala, and applies knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems housed on both on-premise and off-premise (hybrid) platforms.
- Connects provisioned data across multiple sources and performs necessary transformations utilizing both technical, business, and process knowledge to transform data into meaningful values and insights.
- Performs quantitative techniques and analysis on customer, transaction, and performance data with the guidance from other analysts and supervisors, based on questions provided by business partners, and provides actionable insights for business partners to make informed decisions.
- Follows requirements developed by other analysts and supervisors to perform required research, analytics, and exploration on appropriate and accurate data sources to provide appropriate deliverables.
- Communicates complex subjects in a simple and engaging manner to non-technical and technical business partners using software such as Power Point, Word, Excel, and Tableau.
- Assists with conducting quality comparison checks on analysis output and escalates data inconsistencies, gaps, or issues to leadership.

Responsible for capturing, documenting, and maintaining data governance and controls for the Consumer & Small Business Anti-Money Laundering organization as part of Client Protection.
This role will collaborate with Data Stewards, Data Users, Data Owners, and Technology Teams to understand and assess their data controls, processes, and technology to support strategic data initiatives, remediate deficiencies, and drive business requirements.
This role will establish formal Consumer AML data management governance guidance to adhere to the enterprise policies and standards. Engage with Enterprise Data Strategy and Governance Organization (EDSGO) to stay aligned with any changes, and update/educate the organization appropriately to ensure compliance across the organization.
This includes identifying risk/gaps, escalating to necessary stakeholders, and assisting with action plans to implement/enhance controls where gaps may be identified.
The Analyst will work with the Controls & Governance Leader to:
Build a culture of data controls and governance across the organization.
Consult with process owners, subject matter experts, technical experts, end users and other stakeholders to gather information about current processes within the Single Process Inventory (SPI) to document the end-to-end business process with focus on data attributes and data sources, control features, interfaces with other systems required.
Organize Governance routines with respective stakeholders to ensure the documentation is current, identify any control gaps or opportunities and track those actions needed through completion.
LOB Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience with technology applications using relational databases and/or rule engines.
• Understands metadata and data supply chains.
• Familiarity with data reconciliation across applications.
• Experience with data application mapping (inflows and outflows).
• Experience with relational databases, file systems, reading & writing code (e.g. SAS, SQL).
• Documentation experience and building standardized templates, outputs.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: data intelligence/analytics, data management, data governance, data controls chain, data quality management, and/or data architecture.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data management and data concepts.
• Independent and proactive analyst.
• Excellent communication skills and influencer.
• Develops and continuously improves procedure driven functions to demonstrate sustainability, repeatability and defensibility of program.
• Strong Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.

• Experience with data mapping between application using disparate metadata documentation.
• Project and issues management experience.
• Understanding of enterprise ADS internal architecture designs (e.g. Bronze, Silver, Gold).
• Subject matter expertise in Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions.

Pay Transparency details:
Pay range $82,200.00 - $117,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.
