POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Controller, the General Accountant plays a key role in accounting, working with multiple systems, and reconciling inter-company activity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Expense Report Review, Processing & Reconciliation
- Support staff, including training, expense report coding, and document support.
- Review expense reports and provide feedback to staff when corrections are needed.
- Process reports and transfer to ERP system.
- Reconcile credit card control statement against liability account.
- Reconcile employee receivables.
Follow Up with Staff To Complete Tasks
- Reconcile Bank and Insured Cash Sweep Accounts.
- Daily/Weekly reconciliation of bank accounts via data feed.
- Build and maintain matching rules.
- Follow up on reconciling items.
- Download/Scan and store bank statements on SharePoint.
Maintain & Reconcile Prepaid Expenses & Security Deposits
- Maintain prepaid expense schedule in ERP system, including set up of new prepaids and reporting.
- Reconcile prepaids monthly.
Reconcile Right of Use Operating Lease Assets & Liabilities
- Amortize operating leases monthly
- Reconcile Intercompany Receivables and Payables
Support Annual Audits
- Work with accounting staff to ensure all entries are correct and backup documentations are uploaded into SAGE Intacct
Project Management
- Participate in project management of meetings, closing processes, and ad hoc projects.
Ability To Facilitate Small Group Meetings
- Ad Hoc Projects/Reporting/Miscellaneous duties as assigned employees of the organization and others.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory duties.
QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of accounting experience, especially for businesses with multiple departments. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Proficiency with the following software is highly desired:
- ADP payroll
- SAP Concur
- SAGE Intacct or other Accounting Software
- Salesforce
- SharePoint & One Drive Wrike Project management
- Microsoft Office
- Excel formula skills are highly desired
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret studies, proposals, reports, journals, financial and database reports, agreements, contracts, and memos.
- Ability to compose business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group meetings to
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Requires high interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
- Ability to promptly respond to common inquiries from staff and external parties.

Sierra Health Foundation currently operates on a hybrid work schedule with core in-office days of Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and optionaltelework days on Mondays and Fridays.
Compensation
Sierra Health Foundation offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The hiring range for this position is $33.70 - $35.00 hourly. As part of the Foundation’s commitment to compensation, equality and transparency, our practice is not to consider salary counters above this hiring range.
