The Analyst shall manage the day-to-day activities involving the establishment, management, and oversight of electricity accounts for the company. The responsibilities of this position shall include developing and maintaining contacts with utilities for setting-up, reviewing and disconnecting utility services with a focus on electricity. Incumbent must be knowledgeable of ERCOT connection data protocols. This position shall oversee and coordinate all third-party support services and organizations used to supply detailed and specialty utility services to the company. On an as-needed basis, the incumbent shall provide electricity usage and cost analysis to management and troubleshoot specific account errors. This position will support invoice payment activities including preparation, verification, and submission for payment. The Analyst will report to the office (full-time) 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate utility service connections with utility companies, including IOUs, cooperatives, and municipalities.
- Develop, modify, and maintain company data request forms.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy of account data necessary for the establishment of new service locations, review data forms for accuracy and completeness.
- Engage utilities for proper account set-up. Confirm required field activities and set-up schedules.
- Prepare payment documents for project-required CIAC payments.
- Manage CIAC payment process including securing proper approvals and account coding.
- Create and manage company utility database Site Numbers for all utility services including electric, water, gas, and waste services.
- Acquire ESI ID numbers for new meters in the deregulated electricity areas.
- Submit all move-ins, switches, and move-outs to third-party service provider for all electricity meters in deregulated electricity service territories.
- Migrate new assets into ETP business structure.
- Maintain contact with utility companies regarding outages or construction repairs to existing service and communication with appropriate operations personnel.
- Prepare cost and usage reports monthly for budgeting for management.
- Utilize software platform to prepare utility invoices for review and payment and secure requisite approvals as needed.
- Acquire 911 addresses for new meters as needed.
- Prepare monthly invoices for payment for third-party services.
- Download invoice, GL file, Consolidation Detail & Invoice Detail for each ETP client set up with third-party bill processor.
- Validate consolidation entries for data and account accuracy.
- Obtain approvals and execute consolidated bill payments.
- Download billing detail report from third-party portal website and prepare documents for proper backup documentation.
- Prepare, secure requisite approvals, and pay monthly multiple ERCOT and TDSP invoices.
- Coordinate information flow with Treasury and Accounting.
- Daily Day Ahead Invoices (DAM) for CRRAH and QSE.
- Daily Download of DAM Settlement Statements for CRRAH and QSE as back up for DAM Invoices.
- Daily download of RTM Initial, Final, True-up and possible re-settlement Statements as back up for RTM invoices.
- Interface with operations and engineering on each utility account set up after each acquisition.
- Verify all address, meter, utility, and account information for accuracy.
- Confirm account information upload into third-party systems.
- Establish Site Number creation logic scheme for all utility services.
- Preparation and provide employee training on utility systems and set-up protocols and procedures.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Experience in the utility industry in account set-ups, billing error corrections, and disconnection preferred.
- Working with ERCOT either directly or through a specialized third-party regarding account establishment and management.
- Working knowledge of cooperatives, municipalities, regulated and unregulated electric utilities and the unique attributes and constraints of each.
- Knowledge of accounting and treasury functions and information requirements.
- Develop data templates in spreadsheets and databases.
- Strong Communication Skills – Written and Verbal required as need to communicate both internally and externally with ROW Agents, Project Managers, Utility Representatives, etc.
- Ability to work with a team in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize one’s workload and being able to work cross-functionally.
- Oil and Gas experience and/or contract management experience are preferred.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:
- The Associate Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of relevant job-related experience.
- The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience.
- The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job-related experience.
Working Conditions:

- Usually, normal office working conditions.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
