Position Summary
- In this role you will help the Mt Juliet, TN plant operations team (part of GSC NAM ETO cluster) make the most informed decisions possible for the benefit of Schneider Electric.
- You will be supporting the opening, ramp and scaling of this Medium Voltage manufacturing plant and supporting the efforts to prepare for the long term growth ambitions of the NAM region.
- You will partner with the business in the decision-making process through a deep understanding of the operational drivers affecting performance and providing insightful analysis to drive actions. This also includes balancing the basics of managing the Balance Sheet integrity, strong cost control, and forecasting processes.
- You will be working with Operation Leaders on all areas of plant finance; including but not limited to Cost Control, Productivity, and Balance Sheet management.
- This role will also be tasked with piloting and formalizing the plant project controlling role, working with a partially defined framework and leveraging the pilot efforts to learn and formally define the role, alongside other Plant business finance analysts and controllers within the NAM ETO Cluster.
- The Plant Business Finance Senior Analyst is a key stakeholder in enforcing and upholding strong internal controls and instilling an environment of compliance.
- This Plant Business Finance opportunity requires an on-site, in-plant presence – remote work will be allowed situationally and on as needed basis.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead on site Finance support for the Mt Juliet facility, working directly for and supporting the Middle Tennessee GSC Plant Controller.
- Partner with plant operational leadership to drive Plant Performance.
- Review & ensure accuracy and validity of the financial statements.
- Oversee the month-end close processes for the entity through connecting with the NAM GSC CoCe.
- Review, Develop, Implement and Validate the Key Internal Controls for the entity.
- Be the point of contact for various specialists, including Tax, Audit, AP/AR, …
- Support and oversee the Budget & Forecast Processes, working with business partners and GSC Central Functions to drive forecast accuracy and actions.
- Support the facility opening, ramp and scaling effort – specifically around Capital spend projects and ensuring the timely and proper closing of these projects and financial treatment to ensure statutory financial statement integrity.
- Leverage variance analysis of Actuals & Forecast – presenting results to management to make business decisions where needed.
- Seek comprehension, understanding and command over costing excellence – supporting the Plant Project Controlling pilot and role definition scope within this role, ensuring strong control and understanding over estimated / actual and cost deviations at an order level.
- Define and Pilot and Test Plant Project Controlling efforts beyond variance analysis (OFO excess, Project WIP, etc.).
- Anticipate risk and opportunities on the short to medium term and works with business partners to react appropriately.
- Support partners on projects: justification, implementation, and spending.
- Manage and develop the skills and competencies of indirect reports (NAM GSC CoCe).
- Establish and drive daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly and annual meeting cadences and processes, alongside the business owners across multiple subjects / topics and efforts.
- This role should expect frequent interfaces with GSC teams outside of the plant, on subjects such as inventory, efficiency, performance, investment, product launches, product transfers, compliance, as well as with various Front office commercial teams seeking understanding and awareness of End to End project performance on orders being produced by the Mt Juliet MV facility.
- Active role in the new product line introduction, transfer and industrialization process, as well as the overall deployment planning process.
- Key Internal Controls.
- Cycle Count Support, YMFC, Order Changes, Annual Physical Inventory planning and execution support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- At least 3+ years related progressive financial experience.
- Advanced PC skills (emphasis on MS Excel, Power Point, HFM/Hyperion/Essbase, SAP and SQL).
- Possess superior Excel skills including charting and ability to manipulate large volumes of data resulting from various sources into meaningful and dependable managerial information.

- Genuine desire and ability to work with teams to enable outcomes, as well as influencing directly and indirectly numerous stakeholders and resources to acquire information and insights as needed.
- Natural curiosity and desire to learn, ability to adapt to a changing landscape and environment and think End-to-End, ensuring correct decision for the local operation, the customer and Schneider Electric.
Preferences
- MBA / CPA.
- At least 3+ years related progressive financial experience in manufacturing environment controlling.
- Previous experience navigating Supply Chain crisis support.
- SAP experience or similar ERP environment.
- Previously served as financial support to operations leaders in a supply chain environment.
