Position: Senior Financial Analyst – Private clients

Reports To: Senior Director of Operational Finance - EngageMED
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible to analyze and provide summary and detail analysis regarding the revenue and expenses of all private clients as well as EngageMED and be able to help develop budgets, pro formas, forecasts and projections for these and other entities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform revenue and expense analysis and create charts, tables, graphs that explain the relationship between selected items
- Compare results across providers, clinics and clients as well as MGMA and HFMA metrics
- Understands the importance of balance sheet reconciliation and tracking open items for proper resolution
- Participate in the monitoring of physician compensation and calculation of periodic physician bonuses
- Review financial reports for accuracy
Accounts Payable:
- Be able to use digitized invoice storage and retrieval products
Accounts Receivable:
- Monitor balances due from clients for proper application of interest and late fees
- Review client contracts and EngageMED’s administration of those contracts for compliance
Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor daily bank balances to ensure adequate funds are available
- Be able to review bank reconciliations for large or aged outstanding items and suggest appropriate resolution
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- The Senior Financial Analyst will have strong Excel skills including but not limited to the ability to successfully organize, summarize and present analysis using large data sets, strong written and oral communication skills while maintaining a high level of professional skepticism. Also needs ability to utilize reporting tools such as Power BI and / or Tableau to design and generate various financial reports.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. 5 years’ experience in healthcare is desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
