The DTC Business Insights Analyst will drive deep data-driven insights to inform Gibson’s strategic Direct-To-Consumer business planning by leveraging analytics in key business areas including, but not limited to, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Product Merchandising and Consumer Intelligence. The Analyst supports DTC’s continued strategic growth through designing and presenting internal sales analyses, product studies, competitive intelligence, sell-thru data, & marketplace research to drive key insights across the team.
The Analyst plays a key role in development and execution of Gibson DTC’s annual business & financial planning andrevenue forecasting for Ecommerce as well as the owned & operated Brick & Mortar Channel. Establishing lead KPIs and implementing a culture of performance management is a critical task to ensure the channel’s continued success. This role is also tasked with managing & performing tactical/ad-hoc analytical requests to support key business needs.
Essential Functions
- To design and execute quantitative market research & analysis projects to address specific business needs and aid in strategy development.
- To assist in development and delivery of annual business planning & revenue forecasting with a primary focus on North American business
- To assist in maintaining up-to-date online product mix and inventory data, providing insight on inventory health and potential sales strategy
- To provide analytics feedback to assist with merchandising and refreshing of product listings to ensure continued consumer engagement
- To ensure continued quality and consistency of site tagging with Google Analytics to maintain data cleanliness
- To accurately and consistently track consumer behavior and offers UI/UX analysis actionable recommendations aiding in decisions to improve consumer experience
- To deliver data-driven recommendations to enhance consumer experience in Gibson-owned brick & mortar retail locations
- To support and assist in department financial & product planning, strategy, and reporting
- To lead the preparation of the monthly DTC business reporting to the company’s Executive Team and to summarize insights for the quarterly Board of Director meetings

Requirements
- 5+ years relevant work experience, preferably in data analysis, business operations, and/or consumer insights
- Experience in working in a fast-paced dynamic work environment, preferably for a premium MI or Consumer Goods brand
- Proven track record of managing complex business analytics in support of Ecommerce and Brick & Mortar business growth is a must
- Ability to engage multiple datasets to create cogent analyses and deliver actionable insights across departments
- Experience working with Shopify Ecommerce Platform & reporting capabilities
Key Skills
- Microsoft Office suite with high level understanding of and proficiency in Microsoft Excel’s data analysis capabilities as well as Microsoft Powerpoint
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence software, preferably PowerBI
- ERP & Inventory Management software
- Google Analytics, preferably with deep understanding of site metrics, performance marketing impact, as well as impact to Ecommerce sales and operations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new programs as needed including, but not limited to, operations and service technology

Travel Requirements
- Potential travel to and between the company’s manufacturing and sales locations may be required (5-10%).
