Position Reports To: Product Assurance & Quality Assurance Manager / Director

POSITION PURPOSE
The Quality Assurance Auditor 2 conducts product & process audits on a daily/weekly basis to assure conformance to criteria. Also, examines products and materials for defects or deviations from specification criteria.
Essential Functions And Basic Duties
- Approves finished goods by confirming specifications, conducting visual and physical audit tests, returning products for re-work & confirming re-work.
- Assures customer and company quality standards are being met for product components.
- Assures the highest quality product is produced during the manufacturing process by performing data review, auditing processes and procedures & investigation/corrective action follow-up.
- During the visual inspection audits, the auditor will look for any abnormalities such as dents, missing parts, and the general integrity of the product; the auditor will also check for cosmetic issues such as scratches, digs and functional operations.
- Perform random audit of materials, in-process production and/or finished goods, and perform necessary inspections and tests to assure compliance.
- Visually inspect the holographic image, glass components and housing by looking at the surface quality.
- Under supervision, conducts sample audit testing including, but not limited to visual, physical and environmental tests of raw materials, in-process production and finished goods as needed.
- Physically audit/inspect the holographic image, glass components and housing to assure every component falls within tolerance dictated by the product specifications and customer requirements.
- During the audit/inspection process, the holographic image, glass components and/or housing may require cleaning of smudges, removal of dust or debris and/or minor re-work.
- Document audit results by completing reports and logs & enter data into quality database. When defects are found, notify QA engineer & manufacturing. Possibly help analyze and feedback corrections to production quality issues.
- Uses QA work instructions to assure compliance, efficiency and clarity.
- Cross trained in all inspection areas of manufacturing process to support line QC role if needed.
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, looks for ways to improve and promote quality, applies feedback to improve performance, monitors own work to assure quality.

Job Specifications And Requirements
Essential education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities
Education And Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to work on a team and collaborate with others
- Good interpersonal communication skills for cross-functional team interactions
- Basic knowledge of process & product audits, including testing as needed
- Basic awareness of environmental stress tests such as: immersion, humidity, Shock and Temperature cycling, etc.
- Ability to assist QA engineer in troubleshooting supplier NCM or process issues
- Supports QA with quality assurance methods for manufacturing
- Ability to successfully multi-task in fast paced manufacturing environment
- Team player able to work effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams
- Have good written and verbal communication skills, as well as good organizational skills
- Personal computer skills using Windows OS and MS Office, database applications are required.
Schedule
- 9/80 work schedule
- Monday – Friday 6:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Overtime may be required as needed.
