Accounting Manager is a newly created position and will be responsible for enhancing the month-end close process to support Helios Operating Companies.
Responsibilities:
- Perform the monthly and quarterly accounting close process and continuously improve processes to scale with the organization.
- Oversee expense tracking as well as the procure-to-pay process.
- Manage general ledger and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Provide support and analysis in the preparation of management presentations.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the day-to-day operations as well as the close process.
- Recommend and implement best practices regarding accounting policies and procedures.
- Build relationships cross-functionally to foster collaboration both inside and outside of the finance and accounting teams.
- Assist with the AR and AP staff.
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time.
What Sets You Apart:
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- 5+ years of work experience in the accounting field.
- Experience overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable department.
- Experience in people management.
- Audit experience and working with private equity-backed companies is a plus.
Helios' compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,000 annually in our lowest geographic market up to $120,000 annually in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Helios compensation may also include annual bonus, commissions, equity, sign-on payments, as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
