POSITION SUMMARY:
Florida Health Care Plans is a local health plan that has been offering quality care and coverage in our East Central and Northeast Florida communities for over 49 years.
This position is primarily responsible for the preparation of various internal, external and regulatory financial reports. In addition, they will perform accounting and analysis of financial records, account and billing reconciliations and related work as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
- Three years of recent professional level accounting/finance experience.
- Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is preferred.
- CPA license or candidate is preferred.
- A knowledge of Statutory Accounting Principles is beneficial.
- Must exhibit a thorough understanding of all accounting/financial areas.
- Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint proficiency is necessary.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills with close attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to multi-task and work well under stress to meet deadlines.
- High degree of integrity including the ability to maintain confidential information.
